Vicuna Revolution is a project that enhances the luxury and quality of vicuna garments. This species and its great rescue story, after being on the verge of extinction, has been revitalised thanks to international efforts led by initiatives such as Incalpaca.
The remarkable recovery of specimens over the last 50 years has made it possible today to produce garments of incomparable fineness, which are exhibited in the most exclusive shops in the world, symbolising the union of tradition and sustainability.
Vicuna Revolution was born as an initiative to share with the world the deep ancestral value that the vicuna fibre represents for the native Andean communities. Thus, on July 6th, 2023, at the Peruvian embassy in France, our collection ‘Vicuna Revolution’ was presented, which fuses the Andean cultural heritage with a contemporary approach. The collection was characterised by a timeless design and a colour palette ranging from browns to pastels. We collaborated with Peruvian designers such as José Clemente and Renata García-Menacho.
This project would not have been possible without the support of PROMPERU France et Confédération Suisse, the Peruvian Embassy in France, the Peruvian Alliance of Fashion Designers and the Association of Vicuna Producers of Puquio.
From the Peruvian vicuna herders to the workers in our factory, today we would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone at Incalpaca. It has been an extraordinary achievement to present the Revolución Vicuna Collection in Paris and to share it with the world.
